Data Planet has migrated all administrative portal access, including COUNTER R4 and COUNTER R5 usage statistics and reporting, to SecureCenter as of March 31, 2019. The direct URL for SecureCenter is https://securecenter.sagepub.com.
Data Planet joined SAGE Publishing in January 2018, combining the power of Data Planet’s statistical data with SAGE’s expertise, infrastructure, and global research. As a natural part of this integration, Data Planet’s administrative accounts will now be transitioned from the portal where they are currently housed to SAGE’s SecureCenter, a centralized repository for all SAGE customer information and reporting.
This move of Data Planet is already underway with an expected completion date of March 31, 2019.
Yes. There will be a dual access period from March 31, 2019 through May 31, 2019 on both the Data Planet platform and SecureCenter.
However, there are some important things to note:
After March 31, 2019, all changes will need to be made via SecureCenter and the Data Planet administrative accounts will become read-only. Account administrators will be able to view but not edit the following within the Data Planet administrative accounts:
On the Profile Tab:
On the Branding Tab:
On the Links Tab:
After May 31, 2019, all Data Planet administrative account information and usage statistics will only be available via SecureCenter, and the administrative accounts will no longer be accessible on the Data Planet platform.
For those customers with existing subscriptions to SAGE products, your new Data Planet administrative account will be merged with your existing SecureCenter account. You will then have a single, unified account for all administrative tasks for SAGE and CQ Press online library resources, including:

Technical Support Information
To ensure that the transition of your Data Planet administrative account to SecureCenter will be as smooth as possible, please review the following:
Between March 31, 2019 and May 31, 2019, you will be able to access your administrative account both on the Data Planet platform as you currently do, as well as within SecureCenter. During this time you have the opportunity to perform all administrative tasks and make yourself familiar with the new layout. The direct URL for the SecureCenter is https://securecenter.sagepub.com.
As before, you will be able to run your own COUNTER statistics and perform basic administrative duties. If you do not have a SecureCenter account already, you will receive an email notification to set one up. If you are a SAGE or CQ Press customer with any of other online library resources, you will already have login credentials; those are also valid for Data Planet.
To ensure that this migration will be as smooth as possible, we have already moved your Data Planet entitlements and all authentication methods. This includes your IPs, referral links, and EZproxy. Please note, we will not be migrating IP information for customers with existing subscriptions to SAGE products. Any IP updates required for existing customers should be communicated to IPupdates@sagepub.com.
Additionally, we will only be migrating primary administrative accounts from Data Planet. Any secondary accounts will need to be recreated in SecureCenter.
Please take this opportunity this to check that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
